Review: Gotham – Season 2, Episode 16 “Prisoners”

Oh, hey. I almost forgot there was an episode of Gotham this week because I watched the Supergirl/Flash crossover instead. (Verdict: Adorable. If I didn’t have to get a special app to watch Supergirl, I’d watch it every week. And I don’t even like Supergirl all that much.)

I was also distracted by the nightmare fodder known as Batman v. Superman. Rob Bricken, a.k.a. He Who Is Alway Right, calls the universe this movie is set in the Murderverse. He is 100% correct. (However, I will admit that Ben Affleck was a good Batman and he looks so perfect as Bruce Wayne that it makes me irrationally angry. I mean:)

Review: Gilmore Girls – Season 6, Episode 6 “Welcome to the Dollhouse”

I really want to rag on the jacket Lorelai is wearing in the cold opening of this episode. Then I remember that I have a blazer I purchased from Goodwill with the express purpose of bedazzling the fuck out of it (I have yet to do this. But I will.) So you do you, Lorelai Gilmore. You wear that weird as fuck blazer. Let us make bold clothing choices much like Lorelai Gilmore!

Review: Gilmore Girls – Season 6, Episode 5 “We’ve Got Magic to Do”

I am so far behind on these reviews. You know what the worst thing about being an adult is? Your weekend becomes “errand time” and you have to do all your shit at once so you aren’t stuck doing it during the week. We did all our shit today because tomorrow we’re going to Wondercon. GIVE ME ALL THE COMIC BOOKS (not like I need anymore – I have a huge stack I need to read.)

Anyway, let’s start this episode with a healthy dose of fat-shaming and big foot shaming courtesy of Lorelai!

Review: Gotham – Season 2, Episode 14 “This Ball of Mud and Meanness”

Guys. GUYS. This episode was the most insane, bonkers, off-the-wall, batshit crazy episode that this show has ever produced. I’m not exaggerating when I say this. I spent the majority of this episode yelling “WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW???” at my TV. This episode was so nuts that it outdid all the other crazy ass moments that have come before. Moments such as:

  • The time Jim Gordon kissed a prisoner he was questioning in front of his pregnant girlfriend and his boss
  • The time Edward Nygma hid the hand of the woman he killed in a vending machine at the police station as a clue to himself
  • The time Harvey shook down a sex club where a dude wearing a diaper and a bunny mask was tied to a chair
  • The time Fish spooned out her own eye and stepped on it out of spite
  • The time Alfred drove Bruce to a classmates’ house and had him beat that child senseless while using his father’s watch as brass knuckles. Then he took him out for pizza to celebrate

Review: Gilmore Girls – Season 6, Episode 3 “The Ungraduate”

This episode begins the way all good things begin – with Pop-Tarts and accidental nakedness. As a dedicated Never Nude, I myself have never been naked. However, I do love a good Pop-Tart and I assume people with good bodies like to get naked now and then, so these two things must be amazing when combined. What is the best Pop-Tart for nakedness? Strawberry frosted? Unfrosted blueberry? Something more unorthodox, like S’mores?
