It’s the morning after the dance marathon and the girls are having problems walking, talking, and combining their psychic powers to move Luke’s closer to them. What they really need is the power of instant transmission.

Currently debating if the ability for both Rory and Lorelai to go Super Saiyan would be the greatest thing to happen to this show or the worst. (Full disclosure – I used to be so into Dragonball Z. We can’t even talk about it. Love the whole thing up to the end of the Cell Saga. Everything after (especially fucking Saiyaman) can eat all the dicks.)

The girls are still searching for a breakfast place since the great Luke/Lorelai Misplaced Anger Fight has made Luke’s a No Go Zone. They settle on…Sookie’s. They make a woman who cooks for a living cook during her off hours because they themselves are too lazy to pour cereal into a bowl. And they don’t go to Sookie’s house carrying bundles of pancake mix and eggs and fruit – Sookie pays for all of this out of her own pocket.

Review: Gilmore Girls – Season 2, Episode 20 “Help Wanted”

The episode begins and we’ve jumped ahead a few days (? I think?). Rory’s wrist is still in a cast, Broody is still gone, and Lorelai won’t tell Rory what happened between her and Luke the night of the accident. Lorelai and Rory walk to Luke’s to discover that he’s closed up and “gone fishing.” Rory thinks this is because Lorelai and Luke had a fight, Lorelai is all “nuh uh! LA LA LA! NOT LISTENING”

My first instinct upon seeing the title of this episode was to post Aerosmith’s “Back in the Saddle Again.” But it’s played out! It’s been done! It’s totes over! So I’ll link to the Aerosmith song that 12-year-old Jen would listen to on repeat for hours once the object of her affections (unrequited, of course) got a girlfriend:
